Since its inception on June 23, 1939, the
Coast Guard Auxiliary has faithfully worked with the Coast
Guard to save lives and educate the public in boating
safety. The efforts of our Auxiliary members will be
focused on programs that reduce loss of life, personal
injuries, and property damage while assisting the Coast
Guard with maritime domain awareness and mission execution.
Our objective will be to assist our boating public in
having a safe, secure, and enjoyable boating experience. Our
effectiveness to the boating public can be solely determined
by the training and proficiency of our members.
Our area of responsibility includes the State
of Delaware, the Southern half of New Jersey, and central
and eastern Pennsylvania.
It is my goal that we offer our members the
highest level of training in all areas of our
proficiencies. I feel that we should ensure that the
classes that are developed by Auxiliary National
Headquarters and offered by our members meet the level that
our boating public requires. Our instructors also must be
highly trained and able to covey the educational materials
to the boating public. If you are a U.S. Citizen and 17
years of age or older, you can join and be part of the Team
– that is TEAM COAST GUARD. We belong to a heroic family of
men and women who serve our country in a most unique way.
We have a humanitarian cause to save the distressed, educate
the willing, and serve the nation. With your help, my
leadership team, staff and I will help make District Five
North Region a success through,
“ EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP THROUGH
COMMUNICATIONS AND TEAMWORK”
