A native of Old Lyme, Connecticut, CDR Glena T. Tredinnick graduated with a B.A. in 1985 from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT. She graduated Officer Candidate School in Yorktown, VA, in July 1987 and earned a MBA in December 2005 from Nichols College in Dudley, MA. Her training and experience includes maritime port security, contingency planning operations, environmental protection and response. At present, she is the Director of Auxiliary in Philadelphia, PA for the CG District Five Northern Region. Her immediate past tour was as Chief, Incident Management Division at United States Coast Guard Sector New York on Staten Island, NY. There she managed homeland security, environmental response, and waterway incidents for the Port of New York/New Jersey, the United States’ largest petroleum port and the third largest containerized cargo port. Her personal awards included three USCG Commendation Medals with the operational distinguishing device, three USCG Achievement Medals with the operational distinguishing device and two USCG Commandant Letters of Commendation with operational distinguishing device. She has one fifteen year old old son, Peter and is married to John Tredinnick of Haddon Township, NJ.
