A native of Old Lyme, Connecticut, Commander (CDR) Glena T. Tredinnick graduated with a B.A. in 1985 from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT. She graduated Officer Candidate School in Yorktown, VA, in July 1987 and earned a MBA in December 2005 from Nichols College in Dudley, MA. Her training and experience includes maritime port security, contingency planning operations, environmental protection and response. At present, she is the Director of Auxiliary in Philadelphia, PA for the Coast Guard District Five Northern Region. Her immediate past tour was as Chief, Incident Management Division at United States Coast Guard Sector New York on Staten Island, NY where she managed homeland security, environmental response, and waterway incidents for the Port of New York/New Jersey. CDR Tredinnick is a member of the LANTAREA Incident Management Assist Team as an Operations Section Chief and is NIMS Type II Planning Section Chief qualified. She is also a qualified Incident Command System Instructor for ICS-100 through 400, ICS-341 and ICS-430. She is married to John Tredinnick of Haddon Township, NJ and has three children John, Carolyn, and Peter and two grandchildren John and Ryann.
