SUGGESTIONS:

It is recommended all senior Coxswains and Crew Members should conduct their own crew schools.  In 2008 there are several crew schools underway.  In Pennsylvania, Don Merrill started his crew school in March.  In June, the Eastern area is conducting a Crew School  at TRACEN Cape May over a 4 day period with both classroom and underway training included.  In May of this year, Barnegat Light Coast Guard Station is conducting a Crew and Coxswain School for Auxiliarists within the northern New Jersey area.   You may contact Joyce McGowan at 609-242-9347 for further information.

Member Training is the life-blood of our organization, not only for new members but more established members as well.  If we look at the regular Coast Guard, they never stop training and we should do the same.

If I can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me via email at dcp08@comcast.net   or cell phone at 609-408-9227 -  Bruce J. Long
