Quarterdeck Watchstanding opportunities are available at the
local Coast Guard Recruiting Office. The office is located just outside
the Franklin Mills Mall in REQUIREMENTS: Proper telephone etiquette, good speaking voice, a neat appearance, friendly personality. REGULAR DUTIES: Ø Greet walk-in applicants and have them fill out a questionnaire Ø Answer telephone calls, check the voice mail, log and pass along messages to the recruiters Ø Ensure that literature racks are full and application forms are readily available Ø Prepare mailings requested by callers or recruiters Ø Keep the quarterdeck area neat and presentable Ø Uniform of the Day: Tropical Blue – Long, or ODU, unless directed otherwise by the Recruiter-In-Charge. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a recruiting job per se, but a supporting assignment to regular Coast Guard recruiters. Only the recruiters are permitted to discuss recruiting details with inquirers. PERKS:

STAFF & TERRITORY: There
are seven recruiters, with an average of three being in the office at
any point in time. The

DAYS & HOURS: You can select the day(s) and the hours you wish to stand watch. You need not volunteer for an entire day. Office hours are 0900 to 1700, Monday thru Friday, closed for federal holidays.
