CGC CLEAT Auxiliary Opportunity

BMC Eamon McCormack, the Officer in Charge of the USCGC CLEAT - one of the 2 65'' WYTLs at Sector Delaware Bay, has offered up an opportunity for our local Auxiliary members to get underway on his Cutter. He is also open to the idea of members qualifying in several different in port or underway watch stations. In Port Watchstander, Engineer of the Watch, Helmsman, Lookout, Cook, etc.. Please get the word out to the D5 NR Auxiliary membership that this opportunity exists for them to assist one of our local CG Cutters. Most important is the fact that the Chief is the one asking for Auxiliary members to assist him on the Cutter.

If you have any interested members please have them contact the CGC CLEAT AUX-LO, Daniel Murphy, or they can contact Chief McCormack directly via email. If choosing to contact the Chief directly, please ensure that they copy the AUX-LO on all correspondence. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on this very hard working small active duty crew.

The forecast for Ice Breaking on the Delaware this winter was released this week and it looks to be a good year. Email addresses for the POCs are listed below:

CGC CLEAT AUX-LO: Dan Murphy, 215-361-1627, flotillatensix@aol.com

Officer in Charge USCGC CLEAT: BMC Eamon McCormack, 215-271-4845, Eamon.C.McCormack@uscg.mil
